    Merry Christmas From YCIS Beijing

    • As the first half of the 2019-20 school year is coming to an end, it is with pride that we look back at the many things that have been accomplished in the past months; from welcoming new staff members and families to our growing international community, to the many sports victories and academic achievements; to hosting multiple events such as our  famed Welcome BBQ and Founder’s Day, Christmas Bazaar, the many parenting workshops, concerts, and Learning Celebrations.

With the holiday season upon us, our community has been busy spreading joy and happiness leading up to Christmas through events that brought our families, staff and students together such as the PO organized Christmas Wish Tree Project which focused on bringing the Christmas spirit (as well as many presents!) to the less fortunate students of the Migrant Children’s Foundation. We also saw the Performing Arts Department bridge the gap between Primary and Secondary students for the amazing production of Elf Jr the Musical.

With this being our last school week, more Christmas activities are taking place in our Learning Communities to bring even more excitement about the winter holiday. Our Early Childhood Education and Primary School students held their Christmas Concerts this week where they performed popular Christmas carols. The performances included Our Primary Choir which sang the well-known Spanish song “Feliz Navidad”, and the solo performances from our talented Primary instrumentalists.

Our Annual Christmas Bazaar, organized by our PO and Secondary School students, also took place this week, where our community had the opportunity to make their last-minute Christmas shopping and enjoyed delicious food.

Before students and staff go on holiday to enjoy the festive season, here are well wishes from members of our School Leadership Team and our CEO and School Supervisor, Dr. Chan:

“Thanks for a happy and prosperous semester together! Merry Christmas & let’s get ready for the next decade of the 21st Century!”  Dr. Rae Wang

“Have a great holiday, a Happy Christmas and pray for a quiet, peaceful, prosperous and healthy New Year!”  Dr. Timothy Gray MBE.

"Wishing you and your families a wonderful Christmas filled with memories you’ll always treasure."  Fanny Du, School Business Manager

“Merry Christmas and Happy 2020”  Dr. Betty Chan
