A Milestone Victory  in our 30th Anniversary Year!

From 20th to 22nd May, the YCYW Beijing campus was transformed into a vibrant arena of passion, resilience, and sporting excellence. As YCIS Beijing celebrates three decades of educational leadership, our student-athletes marked this milestone with a historic performance at the third annual YCYW School Games.

Competing against over 450 athletes from across the YCYW network, our Scorpions rose to the occasion, proving that teamwork and spirit are the heart of the YCIS Beijing experience.

The Ultimate Triumph: Overall Champion

In a historic moment for our community, YCIS Beijing was crowned the Overall Champion of the YCYW School Games! After a three-day marathon of sport and camaraderie, our collective scores placed us at the top of the foundation—a fitting tribute to our 30th-anniversary celebrations.

Undefeated Excellence: Secondary Girls’ Volleyball

The highlight of the final day was undoubtedly the dominance of our Secondary Girls’ Volleyball team. Delivering a masterclass in skill and composure, they remained undefeated throughout the entire competition, proudly claiming the Gold medal and cementing their status as the team to beat.

Golden Goals: Primary Football Champions

The tournament began with a golden start as our Primary Boys’ and Girls’ Football teams were both crowned champions. Their journey to the top was defined by tremendous determination and a deep sense of pride in representing the YCIS Beijing colours.

Beyond the Podium: The YCYW Spirit Award

Excellence at YCIS Beijing is measured by character as much as medals. We are immensely proud of our Secondary Girls’ squad, who received the prestigious YCYW Spirit Award. This honour recognises the integrity and sportsmanship they displayed throughout the Games—true ambassadors of our school’s values.

Silver, Bronze, and the Scorpion Spirit

Our success reached every corner of the field and court:

• Secondary Football: Both our Boys’ and Girls’ squads showcased incredible flair, charging through to the finals to claim Silver medals.
• Secondary Basketball & Handball: Our Girls’ Basketball and Boys’ Handball teams both secured Bronze medals through fast-paced, entertaining play.
• Resilience in the rain: When heavy rain cancelled the athletics, our Primary students didn't miss a beat, pivoting to high-energy dodgeball matches with infectious enthusiasm.
• Primary Handball: Our teams finished a strong 4th, demonstrating the Scorpion spirit by never giving up against tough opposition.

A Legacy of Sport and Success

As the 2026 YCYW School Games draw to a close, we celebrate more than just trophies. We celebrate the lifelong bonds formed between 450 athletes across the foundation.

A heartfelt thank you to our PE faculty and coaches. You brought more than just expertise; you brought the resilience, the encouragement, and the leadership that turned sweat into success.
