A Celebration of  Joyful Making

At YCIS Beijing, the Art room is far more than just a classroom—it is a laboratory for experimentation, a sanctuary for growth, and a hub of "joyful making". We are delighted to invite our community to the YCIS Beijing Primary Art Exhibition, a stunning showcase of the artistic journeys undertaken by our Year 1–6 students.

A World of Mediums  and Discovery

This year’s exhibition highlights the incredible breadth of our Visual Art programme. As you wander through the gallery, you will witness our students’ courage in tackling new disciplines and mastering diverse techniques, including:

• Watercolour and Painting

• Intricate Weaving and Macramé

• Bold Mosaics and Sculpture

• Delicate Embroidery and Mixed Media

Spotlight on Student Craftsmanship

Every piece tells a story of patience, craftsmanship, and creative confidence:

• Year 3: Explore playful collages inspired by experimental cutting and layering techniques.
• Year 5: Marvel at impressive handwoven fabrics that our young designers have transformed into functional, hand-sewn bags.
• Year 6: Do not miss the bold, imaginative plaster bird sculptures—a true masterclass in experimenting with form, texture, and construction in unexpected ways!

New This Year ：The "Artist Appreciation Wall" 

Art is a conversation! We invite all families to visit our new Artist Appreciation Wall. This dedicated space allows parents, teachers, and peers to leave encouraging notes and feedback for our young creators. We hope our students will enjoy stopping by throughout the exhibition to read the thoughtful comments left by the community that supports them.
