At YCIS Beijing, we believe that a nurturing, respectful and inclusive environment is the core of inspiring learning and character development. Our proactive and compassionate approach, guided by our comprehensive Anti-Bullying Policy and Procedures, ensures every student feels supported and empowered.

Our Life Skills and Wellness Curriculum empowers students to become confident, compassionate individuals, equipped to navigate challenges and build healthy relationships. We empower students through thoughtfully designed lessons, allowing them to explore essential topics like conflict resolution, peer relationships, emotional regulation, digital citizenship, body awareness and safety, all while fostering an understanding of differences and inclusion.

This year, our "Speak up, Stay Safe" campaign amplified student voices, creating a community where everyone feels heard. The peer mentorship programme allows senior students to serve as points of contact, offering guidance on various matters. By fostering these relationships, we aim to create a supportive network where students feel comfortable seeking help and sharing their experiences.  

We also partner with parents, offering workshops such as ‘Online Safety, Cyberbullying, and Wellbeing’. The session focused on understanding digital footprints and how parents can support their children in navigating the online world safely.

To ensure all protocols are in place, we prioritise clear communication by outlining behavioral expectations for all students. Our reporting mechanisms enable immediate notification to the Child Protection Team, offering multiple channels for students to voice concerns—including "Speak-Up" digital platform and physical postboxes. All staff receive regular professional development and training to stay vigilant, and to follow procedures with professionalism and sensitivity. Our monitoring and support system involves regular student observation, proper follow-up and relevant counselling service.
