The 2024-2025 academic year at YCIS Beijing has been an extraordinary journey, marked by outstanding student accomplishments, innovative programmes, and a vibrant community spirit. Our students have excelled across academics, arts, sports, and global citizenship. Let's look back at some of the highlights that made this year unforgettable!

Our students showcased their talents at prestigious events, from musical performances at the AmCham Appreciation Dinner and various concerts (Christmas, Chinese New Year, Seeds of Hope, Summer Concerts) to cultural showcases at the British and German Christmas Markets, highlighting their creativity and collaborative spirit.

Academically, YCIS Beijing students demonstrated remarkable critical thinking and rigour. They achieved exceptional results in competitions such as the World Scholar's Cup (Tournament of Champions at Yale), Maths Kangaroo, UKMT Junior Challenge, International Geography Bee, Model United Nations (MUN), and various Science & Computer Science Competitions. We also focused on developing leadership and resilience through the Duke of Edinburgh Award and fostered a love for reading and academic determination with the Battle of the Books (BOB).

    Future-Ready Learning and Community Engagement

Our commitment to future-ready learning was evident in our groundbreaking STEM initiatives. The STEM BBQ offered interactive, eco-friendly experimental learning, while projects like Smart Farm, Medical Imaging, and Gazebo Design and Technology allowed students to apply engineering and design thinking to real-world challenges

Community is at the heart of YCIS Beijing. Events like the Community BBQ and Global Community Day strengthened our bonds and celebrated our international diversity. We also prioritised student well-being through initiatives like the Food Committee, Anti-Bullying programmes, and our various charity events, including support for New Day Foster Home, which showcased our commitment to making a meaningful difference. Our active Parent Organisation (PO) further promoted kindness and collective well-being.

This year also brought significant institutional achievements. We proudly received CIS Reaccreditation, reinforcing our commitment to high-quality international education.

The introduction of the HKDSE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education) as a new academic path further expands opportunities for our students

Our global standing was highlighted by hosting delegations from Kazakhstan, the United States, Italy, a memorable meeting with the President of Kenya and many more.
