YCIS Beijing is ready for an inspiring year of learning, innovation, growth, and connection. In the weeks leading up to the first day of school, our campus was alive with preparation to ensure a smooth and successful start for academic staff and our remarkable students.

New Staff Orientation 

Our newest educators—joining us from around the globe—were the first to arrive. Through immersive workshops, focus on our co-teaching model, bilingual learning strategies, and School ethos, we warmly welcomed new educators into our YCIS Beijing community!

As Co-Principals Ms Shelley Swift and Ms Jessica Sun shared, "We had the pleasure of welcoming our new teachers during our staff orientation. Their energy, expertise, and passion for education are truly inspiring, and we're excited to see the positive impact they'll bring to our classrooms and School culture."

Whole School Professional Training

Next, our entire faculty and staff came together for collaborative training focused on curriculum updates, safeguarding, student well-being, and innovation in teaching. This alignment ensures every educator is equipped to deliver an exceptional, holistic education.

Student Orientation 

Ahead of the first day, students explored their classrooms, met teachers and classmates, and got to know the campus. Orientation was filled with fun and engaging activities designed to build new friendships and foster a sense of belonging. For our new families, the day provided further opportunities to ask questions, meet key members of the School Leadership Team, and connect with other parents. Our goal is to ensure that every student starts the year feeling valued, supported, and excited to learn.

First Day of School 

The excitement culminated as students from Early Childhood to Secondary returned to campus with smiles on their faces. Greeted warmly by our Co-Principals and School Leadership Team, the day set the tone for a year of new friendships, discoveries, and achievements.

With a strong start, dedicated staff, and a united community, YCIS Beijing is poised for a year full of success and inspiration.
