At YCIS Beijing, learning happens beyond the classroom; it expands, evolves, and comes alive.

This autumn, our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme has once again opened a world of opportunity. From 21 September to 23 November, students from ECE K3 through to Secondary are diving into new experiences, mastering fresh skills, and discovering hidden talents. This is more than an after-school programme—it is a celebration of our holistic approach to education.

Our CCAs are designed to nurture well-rounded individuals, offering five dynamic pathways to growth:

• Language & Communication: From TEDx Talks and Model United Nations to Chinese Debate and Spanish, students build the cultural fluency and confidence to express ideas that matter.
• The Arts: Creativity flourishes in our Pottery, Fashion Design( including our popular Barbie Costume sessions), and Oil Painting studios. Meanwhile, our Orchestra, Choirs, and Street Dance troupes bring the campus to life with rhythm and style.
• Science & Innovation: Curiosity takes flight in Junior Science Olympiad, Architecture Art,  and the Mindful Mathletes club, where students tackle complex challenges with a spirit of inquiry.
• Sports & Wellbeing: From Football and chess to Tae Kwon Do, Skateboarding, and Bouldering, students build the physical resilience, strategic thinking and teamwork that define the Scorpion.
• ICT & Technology: Future innovators master the digital world through VEX V5 Robotics, Blender 3D Design, and the Botball Robotics Challenge.

These curated experiences are the heartbeat of our community. Through CCAs, students learn to collaborate, persevere, and lead—building friendships across year groups and cultures whilst gaining the confidence that comes from stepping outside one's comfort zone.
