In 10th October, YCIS Beijing proudly hosted the World Mathematics Championships (WMC) Regional Qualifier, welcoming 65 top young mathematicians from across the city, including Keystone Academy, Dulwich College Beijing, Harrow Beijing, BCIS, and YCIS Beijing.

    Outstanding Results for YCIS Beijing

Represented by 15 talented students, our students earned remarkable honours:

    • 9 Gold Medals
    • 5 Silver Medals
    • 8 Bronze Medals
    • 7 "Golden Tickets" to the WMC Junior Finals

Placing in the overall Top 20, seven of our students earned Golden Tickets—the highest number achieved by any participating school! They now qualify for the WMC Junior Finals in Melbourne this December.

This success reflects the vibrant, year-round mathematics culture at YCIS Beijing, where we nurture student curiosity through a multifaceted academic approach:

    • Prestigious Competitions: Regular participation in elite global benchmarks such as the UKMT, AMC, and the Singapore Maths Challenge.
    • Dedicated CCAs: Co-curricular activities and Olympiad clubs that challenge students to explore logical reasoning far beyond the standard curriculum.
    • Campus Celebrations: Inspiring interdisciplinary events like Pi Day that connect mathematical principles with real-world joy and creativity.

Through these diverse opportunities, we continually empower students to stretch their thinking, push boundaries, and achieve academic excellence.

Congratulations to all young mathematicians, and best of luck in Melbourne!
