Welcome to the 2017/18 School Year

    • We are delighted to welcome back families who have been with us for some time, and we extend a special welcome to families who are new to our community this year. We are very excited about the year ahead.

We also celebrate the continuation, now for a decade, of our 100% successful completion of the IB Diploma by all those students who enrolled and completed the full diploma program. Most pleasing of all is the fact that the students have been selected for a wide range of tertiary courses at many prestigious institutions around the world, and we have great confidence that they have been well prepared for success.

Over the summer break, there were extensive works undertaken around the school, and which are nearing completion as we write this letter. These range from general maintenance, through to more substantial works, such as the new ECE Playground, new collaborative work-spaces for teaching staff, and a major renovation to the third floor of the A-Building to further accommodate our primary level learning communities.

We will enjoy accessing a markedly improved wi-fi network infrastructure, thanks to the completion of the first and most substantial stage in the upgrading of our network facilities. New collaborative software tools are also being deployed to take full advantages of these new improvements.

This year, we welcome Chartwells on-board as the school’s new caterers.

Several new staff members have joined us in both academic and administrative areas. Our new international teachers will bring a wealth of experience from the USA, the United Kingdom, Australia and Kenya. This Year will see the past planning for our Year 4, Year 5, Years 6-8 and Years 9-11 Learning Communities come to fruition. More details about these arrangements and programs will be communicated in due course to students and parents by the team leaders of these communities.

Ours is a very close-knit and supportive school community and it is our fervent hope that all families will feel valued and supported by each other and the school. We encourage you to become involved in the activities of our strong Parent Organization (PO) which will have its first meeting at 9am on Wednesday 6 September in Room A106a first floor Building A.

We have so much to look forward to this year. It’s going to be a great one!

      Very Best Wishes
