    • Intro to YCIS Beijing

The YCYW network of schools was founded in Hong Kong 90 years ago. Since 1932, YCYW has transformed into a modern, international education network of schools leading the way in developing our students into ambitious, kind and responsible future leaders. YCIS Beijing opened in 1995 with the aim of bringing the educational philosophy, objectives and pedagogy of Yew Chung to Beijing's expatriate families. Over the past 28 years, YCIS Beijing has grown rapidly and now has a student body of over 800 who come from over 40 nationalities and are educated by teachers from 30 countries under an international curriculum that nurtures globally-minded students.

YCIS Beijing provides a truly global education to expatriate children aged 2-18, and it is considered one of the top international schools in Beijing. The school's unique multicultural and bilingual approach to education is recognised globally and is just one of the features that sets the school apart from others.

YCIS Beijing is a fully accredited school, recognised by the Council of International Schools (CIS). In addition, the Secondary school is authorised as an accredited Cambridge International Examinations Centre and International Baccalaureate World School (IB World School).

As an IB World School, we are proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as part of our international curriculum. Furthermore, we are the only school in China to have received the Cambridge Award for Excellence in Education.
