As we reach the end of a vibrant first semester, we look back with immense pride on the journey shared across our entire YCIS Beijing community. From the energetic first days in August to the festive spirit of December, our campuses have been alive with discovery, academic growth, and the joy of learning together.

A defining highlight was our whole-school 30th Anniversary celebration, a momentous event that united Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary students in a shared spirit of pride and reflection.

In Secondary, students have demonstrated significant academic engagement and growth. This ranged from deep experiential learning, such as Year 7's National Museum trip and IGCSE Geography fieldwork, to competing with distinction in the World Mathematics Challenge and Battle of the Books. The diligent approach to end-of-semester examinations by students across all year groups was commendable, with the experience providing vital preparation for future external IGCSE and IB assessments for our older students. Enrichment continued with masterclasses from visiting experts, including eminent Polish music professors. Beyond academics, students showcased remarkable talents, embraced leadership through the new Student Leader cohort, and led charitable initiatives.

In Primary, students also engaged purposefully in their end-of-semester assessments, demonstrating their progress across the curriculum. Our focus on “Being the Best YOU!” shone through rich, inquiry-based learning—from designing ideal communities and exploring light in Science, to celebrating our 30th anniversary with heartfelt projects. ECE children flourished in a nurturing environment, building confidence through art, play, and their heartwarming Christmas concert.
