Last week, YCIS Beijing proudly embraced neurodiversity—Celebrating the Power of Different Minds!—because every mind works in its own unique and brilliant way!

On 16–20 March, our community came together for a week filled with learning, connection and creativity. It kicked off with a Neurodiverse Classroom talk for teachers, followed by powerful workshops with Ms. Jana van Zyl (Head of Safeguarding and Inclusion, YCYW) and FlySolo Rehabilitation Centre—strengthening the vital partnership between home and school.

Throughout the week, our Secondary student leaders and mentors shared heart-warming stories with our youngest learners in ECE, while Head of Library Mr. Josh Henry curated a thoughtful book collection in the primary library. Life Skills and Wellness classes explored meaningful lessons, and school displays reminded us all of the beauty in neurological differences.

We wrapped up in full colour and creativity with Crazy Hair Day and a Primary Assembly celebrating the perfect slogan: "My mind wires differently, and so does my style!"

At YCIS Beijing, we know that diversity in thinking, learning and self-expression makes us stronger, more creative and truly inclusive.
