    • The Yew Chung International School of Beijing Class of 2019 achieved remarkable IBDP Results again this year and have went on to be accepted to some of the top universities around the world. With the United States of America remaining a popular destination for our graduates, countries like Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, China and Hong Kong also serve as home base for many of our Alumni.

      Although dispersing around the globe is positive for the academic, social lives and progression of our students, factors such as distance, different time zones and busy university schedules can contribute to the lack of communication between these former Secondary School classmates. But thanks to technology, how we all connect has been revolutionized, our Alumni has options when it comes to how they can keep in contact and updated on their respective lives.

      Here are some ways we encourage our former students to keep in touch with one another;

      Facebook Group: As the most popular and convenient social media platform, it was only fit that we created a group where our Alumni could connect, not only by befriending each other on Facebook, but by interacting through social events like the Alumni Mixer and other gatherings. Click here to find the group.

      The UGO: Due to the close relationships our University Guidance Officerforms with the students while they are on our campus, many of our them remain in contact with our UGO who can also facilitate reconnecting the students via different platforms such as email, text and WeChat.

      School Website: On the YCIS Beijing website we have profiled a number of our Alumni under “Our Alumni” to keep abreast with what life has been like since graduating from our Secondary School. A recent example of a student we have profiled is Chong (Rock) Siu, who graduated in 2017. After completing his IBDP programme with 41 points (Above world average), Rock went on to study Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Other profiled students are Kate Durkin, Michelle Chung, Russell Ng and Helen Leung.
