Our Team

At YCIS, we are all lifelong learners. The school supports staff in pursuing graduate-level programmes and courses and works with individual team members to facilitate participation in: external educational conferences and training, targeted classroom observations, visits to other schools, and more. As our academic team and educators continue to grow and advance, they will, in turn inspire and accelerate learning in our students.

Welcome to Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS Beijing).

All YCIS schools share the same Mission and Vision Statement and an overall Strategic Plan, which guide all areas of activity and importantly establish the schools' key focus areas, core values, and overarching policies.

Each school develops its own unique character, learning programmes, facilities, and personnel and responds to the local needs of its community in keeping with the Mission and Vision Statement. Responsibility for the school's management rests with a School Leadership Team. In the case of YCIS Beijing, the School Leadership Team consists of Western and Chinese Co-Principals and the School Business Manager.

While the Co-Principals' primary focus is on the learning programmes, student welfare, and the leadership of the academic staff, the School Business Manager oversees non-academic areas. Together, they function as a unified team with overall responsibility for every aspect of school operations.

YCIS Beijing is registered with the Ministry of Education as a School for Children of Foreign Nationals. It is accredited by the Council of International Schools, the International Baccalaureate Organisation, and is an authorised provider of the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education. We are also accredited by the local education authorities.

Our team of highly qualified teaching staff is the backbone of Yew Chung International School of Beijing's global education.

The integration of Chinese and Western cultures across the school is achieved through our unique Co-Principal and Co-Teaching models. Qualified and experienced Western teachers are recruited from around the world, including:
