E-Learning at YCIS Beijing Continues.
The Yew Chung International School of Beijing has successfully completed the first week of e-learning despite the past few weeks of uncertainty surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) which has seen thousands around our host country being infected since December. Our School and Foundation have dedicated this week to ensuring learning continued for students with collective efforts by our Senior Leadership Team, academic staff, parents and students all playing their part, amid the government lockdown.

The last weeks of the lunar year at Yew Chung International School of Beijing were activity-filled and indicative of the positive effect collaboration and hard work have on our community, with students and staff preparing for our Annual Chinese New Year celebrations. One of the biggest Chinese holidays was celebrated at YCIS Beijing with colorful ECE and Primary School performances, and the popular Temple Fair, co-hosted by our Secondary School students, teachers, and our Parent Organization.
Talking about the Coronavirus with Kids
The Yew Chung International School of Beijing community like many others has been affected by the Novel Coronavirus outbreak – the latest strain of Coronavirus to sweep the nation. The virus has left many feeling more anxious than celebratory since the new lunar year and has not only interrupted long-awaited family reunions and brought the country's most celebrated holiday to a standstill, but has also infiltrated nations around the world, raising alarms.
Happy Year of the White Rat!
YCIS Beijing wishes students, families, staff and friends a Happy Year of the Rat. We wish you all love, prosperity and good fortune!
Beautiful China Performance Highlights
Today is the final day of school at the Yew Chung International School of Beijing and second last day in the Lunar Calendar before we bid farewell to the Year of the Pig and usher in the Year of the Rat. Our campus has been buzzing with activities since Monday with our Early Childhood Education (ECE) learners taking to the stage in our school’s longstanding tradition of holiday concerts, where students perform songs and dances in celebration of the Spring Festival, one of China’s major holidays biggest holiday.

Many students have already received acceptances from leading universities in Hong Kong and England, many more are still awaiting their results from universities in America and Australia.
