    Teapot Time: Innovative Teachers Embrace the Spirit of Community

    Our close-knit community at the Yew Chung International School of Beijing has long been a main point of attraction for parents looking for a familial school atmosphere, which is being enhanced even further by our new Learning Community spaces. Our teachers have fully embraced this spirit of community as well, implementing the Teapot Time initiative to further encourage the sharing of best teaching practices and mutual growth.     Introducing Our Scientist-in-Residence: Dr. Jacob Wickham

    Science and Technology has been one of the Yew Chung International School of Beijing’s core tenets since its inception back in 1995. To expand upon the scientific resources given to all of the students at school, we’ve invited Jacob Wickham, to an extended stay on campus to share his wide breadth of knowledge and scientific prowess. A practicing chemical ecologist with numerous projects in the United States and China, Dr. Wickham’s enthusiasm and expertise will serve as both inspiration and insight for learners from ECE through Year 13.

    Career Talks Invigorate Secondary Internship Interest

    Students in the Yew Chung International School of Beijing’s IGCSE programme in Secondary school now have even greater opportunities for learning outside the classroom thanks to the Year 11 Internship Programme. Aimed at giving students real world work experience and connections they can utilize after graduation, the programme partners with a variety of companies to ensure participants have access to a field in which they are interested.
